VR GP | Occupational Health / WorkCover | $900–$1,300 per Day | Monday to Friday
An exciting opportunity is available for a GP with WorkCover, SIRA, or occupational health experience to join a dedicated medical practice focused exclusively on supporting workers injured on the job.
This role is ideal for a GP who enjoys occupational medicine, injury management, return-to-work planning, and working closely with employers, insurers, and other key stakeholders. The practice primarily supports injured workers across the rail, transport, infrastructure, and coal industries, offering a varied and highly rewarding clinical environment.
You will be involved in assessing and managing workplace injuries, conducting occupational work assessments, issuing Certificates of Fitness, preparing reports, and communicating with employers and stakeholders throughout the patient’s recovery and return-to-work journey. The role also offers the ability to bill for a range of non-consult tasks, including report writing and phone calls.
You will work alongside a supportive team of 4 other GPs in a structured, qualified environment with weekday-only hours and no weekend work.
What’s on offer:
- Earn $900–$1,300 per day

- Clinic hours: 8:00am–5:00pm
- Open to part-time arrangements, minimum 3 days per week
- Full-time preferred
- Opportunity to bill for reports, phone calls and stakeholder communication

Experience and skills required:
- Prior WorkCover experience is required
- SIRA experience highly regarded
- Strong understanding of the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme
- Experience managing musculoskeletal injuries
- Knowledge of health surveillance protocols
- Ability to perform minor procedures, including treatment of chemical burns, removal of foreign bodies and management of lacerations
- Excellent communication skills and confidence managing complex stakeholder conversations
- Accreditation, or willingness to obtain accreditation, for Rail Medicals, NSW Order 43 Medicals and RSHQ Medicals
- Qualified Indemnity insurance with minimum coverage of $10,000,000
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, education and quality assurance activities
