Off the tools, but not away from the workshop.

We're recruiting a Pre-Delivery Estimator for a global mining equipment OEM at their Kenwick facility. This one's a bit different - it's a commercial role, but you're sitting right next to the workshop, costing and scoping the pre-delivery work on new machines before they head to site. If you've come up through a trade or workshop background and you're good with numbers and systems, this is the kind of role that doesn't come up often.

What's on offer:

- Up to $140,000 + super (depending on experience), full permanent entitlements
- Monday to Friday, days only - 38 hour week with flexible start and finish times
- Home every night, no FIFO, no swings
- Permanent role with a global OEM (44,000+ employees worldwide) with strong training and development pathways
- Genuine cross-functional exposure - you'll work across sales, production, aftermarket and the workshop floor

The role:

- Build pre-delivery cost estimates from job and tender specs - labour, materials, consumables, kitting, mods and third-party supplier costs




- Source and validate supplier and subbie pricing to keep estimates sharp
- Maintain PD scope templates, standards and the PD catalogue, including Maximo templates and Kanban lists
- Feed scope and workload into 12, 6 and 3-month PD forecasts
- Work closely with workshop supervisors, techs and sales to lock scope in early and cut down on rework

What you'll need:

- Proven cost estimating experience - workshop, manufacturing or pre-delivery environment ideal
- Solid understanding of workshop operations, maintenance workflows and labour costs
- Maximo experience is essential, along with strong Excel and Microsoft Project skills
- Analytical and organised, with enough commercial sense to know where the dollars matter
- Trade qualification or engineering qualification is a bonus, not a dealbreaker

You'll have direct influence over machine delivery quality and cost predictability, and you'll be dealing with people at every level of the business. Great fit for someone wanting to step off the tools (or out of pure admin) without losing touch with the workshop.
