Robert Half Executive Search has been exclusively retained to identify an accomplished Technology Transformation Consulting leader. Our client is a globally renowned and respected well established consulting firm investing significantly to further its growth agenda in the APAC region.

The firm’s offers a broad range of consultancy services to enterprise as well as mid-market clients across multiple industries including Financial Services, Corporate and Government.

The Role

This appointment represents a significant opportunity to shape a strategically important growth capability for the firm in Australia. The platform transformation market is evolving quickly as clients seek to modernise ERP and CRM estates, unify workflows, improve data and controls foundations, embed AI into enterprise processes and realise tangible value from major technology investments.

Our client has broad and credible global technology transformation capability from which to compete. The successful Managing Director will be expected to translate that global strength into local market momentum and sustainable practice growth (predominantly in the Microsoft platform/ecosystem) creating a coherent and differentiated proposition for the Australian market. The role will combine business development, executive advisory, solution leadership, alliance engagement and hands on programme delivery.

This newly created Managing Director role will best suit an individual who can move fluently between advisory and delivery conversations, from whiteboarding solutions to creating boardroom value cases and architecture choices through to governance, testing, data and adoption risks.

It is best aligned to an established Partner, Principal,



Managing Director or highly experienced Director-level qualified from a consulting-led background in enterprise applications, digital transformation, cloud-enabled platform modernisation or major technology transformation programme delivery. Ideally possessing exposure to multiple technology solutions, including the Microsoft ecosystem, the successful individual may currently sit within a Big 4 professional services firm or similar, a major global systems integrator, or a specialist technology consultancy / boutique with established credibility in enterprise transformation.

An individual who is naturally market-facing and can create executive-level demand by connecting technology modernisation to business outcomes such as growth, resilience, efficiency, control and speed will thrive in this growing firm.

Role Responsibilities

Lead the definition and execution of the firm's Australian Digital / Technology Transformation growth agenda, including market positioning, target sectors, alliance priorities, offerings, pipeline strategy and revenue goals.

- Originate, shape and close strategic opportunities across ERP, CRM, workflow, HCM, data, integration, cloud and AI-enabled platform modernisation agendas.
- Redesigning client business processes and delivering the improvement through automation, data and AI, mainly on the Microsoft platform/ecosystem, in regulated industries.
- Build senior client relationships with CEOs, CIOs, Chief Transformation Officers and functional executives, acting as a trusted advisor on enterprise platform strategy, transformation risk, execution discipline and value realisation.
- Lead or sponsor major client programmes, ensuring robust governance across programme management, business case alignment, solution design, controls, security, data migration, testing, cutover, adoption and post-go-live optimisation.




- Develop a repeatable offering architecture for the Australia practice, including advisory, implementation oversight, PMO/governance, controls, optimisation and managed support propositions.
- Partner with alliance teams and platform leaders to increase market credibility, co-sell opportunities, partner visibility and access to platform roadmaps, incentives and joint marketing activity.
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing talent.

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate will have a strong record of winning and leading complex transformation work, rather than serving solely as a technical specialist. They will be credible with both business and technology stakeholders, able to establish trust quickly with C-suite executives, and capable of articulating a point of view on how core platforms should enable strategy, process performance, data quality, control and AI readiness.

Given the practice-building nature of the role, the individual should bring both relationships and a demonstrated pattern of creating new work. Equally important, they should show evidence of building teams, mentoring emerging leaders and creating an environment where teams can work together effectively.

Indicative Backgrounds

- Big Four, major global SI or specialist consulting leaders with backgrounds in enterprise applications, technology transformation or platform-enabled operating model change.
- Leaders who have progressed from hands-on architect/developer/engineering roles through programme management to platform advisory roles and now own meaningful revenue and client relationships.
- Regulated industry Executives with significant exposure to Microsoft-led transformations in addition to prior consulting experience.
- Technology agnostic consulting professionals or Executives with varied exposure to SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow transformations.
