Overview:

Limestone Coast Energy Park Project – BESS & Substation Construction Project. The location of the energy park site is adjacent to the South-East Electrical Substation 10kms outside of Mount Gambier, SA.

Role

The role of Multiskilled Operator supports the Limestone Coast Energy Park Project by safely operating cranes and mobile plant, performing dogging and rigging activities, assisting with electrical and construction works, and undertaking general labouring duties when plant operation is not required.

Primary Function: Operate Combilift (Straddle Carrier), telehandlers, excavators and skid steer loaders as required to support lifting, material handling, civil, electrical and construction activities. The operator will also perform dogging and rigging tasks, including slinging loads, directing crane operators, setting up lifts and ensuring lifting activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate C6/CO cranes for lifting structural steel, plant, switchgear, precast components, equipment and construction materials.

- Operate excavators, skid steer loaders and telehandlers safely in accordance with site requirements and competency levels.





- Perform dogging and rigging duties, including load assessment, slinging techniques, lift set-up and communication with crane operators.

- Assist electrical and civil work crews with material movement, site preparation, installation support and general construction tasks.

- Undertake general labouring duties when not operating plant or performing lifting activities.

- Conduct pre-start inspections, report defects and maintain equipment in a safe and clean operating condition.

- Follow all project safety procedures, SWMS, lift plans, exclusion zones and site instructions.

Requirements

Mandatory Tickets and Competencies:

- Construction White Card – CPCCWHS1001.

- High Risk Work Licence – DG Dogging.

- High Risk Work Licence – C6 Slewing Mobile Crane up to 60t and/or CO crane operation competency, as required by the role.

- Telehandler competency – RIIHAN309F Telescopic Materials Handler, where applicable.

- Relevant competency or experience operating excavators and skid steer loaders.

- Ability to support general labouring activities across civil, electrical and construction work fronts.
