We're seeking an exceptional Vocational Education Manager to lead a team of Electrical and Refrigeration educators, along with professional staff, within our Faculty of Trades.

We're looking for an outstanding leader first and foremost. Great leadership skills are transferable, and we recognise that talented leaders come from a range of industries and professional backgrounds.

Whether you're currently leading a department, business unit, operational team or education program, or you're a high-performing Course Coordinator, Program Manager or emerging leader ready for the next step, we'd be keen to hear from you.

While experience within Trades, vocational education or technical training is highly regarded, we welcome applications from leaders across VET, TAFE, education and training who can demonstrate strong people leadership, operational management and a commitment to educational excellence.

This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity. Salary is $140,753.00 per annum plus 12% superannuation.

About the Role

Leading a diverse team of educators and professional staff, you'll play a key role in shaping both the employee and student experience. You'll balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational leadership, ensuring quality outcomes, strong industry engagement and a culture of continuous improvement across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, coach and develop a team of educators and professional staff
- Deliver high-quality vocational education and training outcomes
- Drive compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Manage department performance, budgets and resources
- Build and maintain strong industry, government and community partnerships
- Support student engagement, retention and success
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and excellence

You'll bring:

- Degree or AQF Level 6+ qualification in Vocational Education
- Current Training and Assessment credentials meeting VET regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a VET, TAFE or education environment
- Strong knowledge of VET compliance frameworks including SRTOs, VRQA and ESOS
- Experience managing people, performance, budgets and competing priorities
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, authentic and values-driven leadership style
