THIS ROLE IS IDEAL FOR SOMEONE WITH:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and manuals.
- Basic numeracy skills with the ability to work with weights, volumes, measurements and distances.
- Customer service and relationship management skills.
- Ability to prioritise work and manage competing demands.
- Basic computer skills for service reports, job cards and documentation.
- Ability to work autonomously whilst representing OEM Group at customer sites.
- Robust commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Likes hands-on, safety-critical environments.
- Works well with supervisors and project teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required:
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Experience undertaking preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Experience working safely in workshop environments.
Desired:
- Industrial pressure cleaner maintenance and repair experience.
- Experience working directly with customers onsite.
- Experience undertaking field service work at customer locations.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Service & Repair
- Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs in accordance with OEM Group procedures and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct root cause fault diagnosis and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain workshop equipment and tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Conduct testing, commissioning and inspections to ensure equipment meets operational, safety and customer requirements.
- Perform pre-delivery, pre-hire and post-hire inspections and functional testing of equipment.
- Test and commission new machines for the Sales Department as required.
Customer Service
- Provide professional customer service during onsite service visits.
- Communicate repair requirements and recommendations clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
Administration
- Complete service reports, job cards and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record parts used and provide information to support stock replenishment and parts ordering requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop environment.
- Actively participate in training, performance development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Other
- Provide backup support as Warehouse/Storeperson during peak periods and employee absences.
- Conduct maintenance, repairs, inspections and field service activities at customer sites as required.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as directed within your skill level.
