About the Role
We are seeking an ECT or Diploma Educational Leader to join our team at Little Pioneers Early Learning Centre in either our Arcadia Vale or Rathmines NSW 2283 locations. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning and development. As an Educational Leader, you will be responsible for leading educational programming, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the holistic development of children in your care. This role is central to our centre's mission and will require you to demonstrate strong pedagogical practice, leadership skills and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
There are also opportunities for full time roles for candidates who do not want to take on the Ed Leader role yet.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-quality, play-based educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and reflect the needs, interests and abilities of children
- Lead and mentor educators within your room or area, providing guidance on pedagogical practices and supporting their professional development
- Observe, assess and document children's learning and development, using this information to inform future planning and individualised support
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity and inquiry
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, fostering an inclusive and collaborative community
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's learning journey, progress and wellbeing
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including child protection and safeguarding requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of our centre's practices
- Support the coordination of events, transitions and special activities that enhance the learning experiences of all children
What We're Looking For
- Current Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognised qualification
- Registration with or eligibility for registration with the relevant early childhood regulatory body
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and current best practice in early childhood education
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing developmentally appropriate learning programs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and staff
- Leadership capability and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting each child's individual development
- Sound knowledge of child safeguarding, child protection and duty of care responsibilities
- Ability to maintain accurate records and document children's learning and development
- Flexibility and a positive approach to working in a dynamic early learning environment
- Experience in mentoring or supporting less experienced educators is desirable
