Role Based in Tennant Creek, NT

Internally referred to as Trauma-Informed Care Practitioner - Children, Young People & Families

About the Role

Help create safer, stronger futures for Aboriginal children, young people and families.

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking two full-time Trauma-Informed Care Practitioners to join the Piliyintinji-ki (Stronger Families) team. Working alongside Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and partner services, you'll deliver culturally responsive therapeutic support while strengthening trauma-informed practice across the Barkly Region.

Two opportunities are available:

- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified Position

- Non-Identified Position

Duties

- Deliver trauma-informed assessments, therapeutic interventions and healing plans

- Support children, young people and families experiencing complex trauma

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to coordinate holistic care

- Deliver training, mentoring and workforce capability initiatives

- Build trusted relationships that promote healing, cultural safety and resilience

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, Community Services, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Pastoral Care or a related discipline

- Experience delivering trauma-informed therapeutic support





- Understanding of the impacts of historical and intergenerational trauma on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

- Solid stakeholder engagement, case management and documentation skills

- Experience working in remote communities or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations will be highly regarded

- Earn $129K to $154K plus Salary Packaging up to $15,899
