Support NDIS Participants with Daily Living and Community Engagement
Are you passionate about empowering people to live independently and build a life that is fulfilling and meaningful to them? Whether you're new to the field or bring years of experience, you'll find a purpose-driven workplace with Primacy Care.
We are currently seeking Mental Health Key Workers to assist NDIS participants living with a psychosocial disability, with their daily living routines, community access, and NDIS goals.
Why Join Primacy Care?
- Team connection – Regular staff meetings, quarterly 1:1 and active Teams discussions
- Growth pathways – Build your skills in the mental health and disability sector
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Wellbeing support for you, too
- Not an agency – You’ll build consistency and connection with your participants
- Registered NDIS Provider
- Shift structure
Supports are typically delivered in short, participant-focused shifts, averaging around 2 hours per shift, depending on individual needs and schedules. This role is well suited to candidates seeking flexible, shorter shifts across the week rather than extended or full-day hours.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this community-based role, you’ll support participants with tasks that promote independence, build capacity, and community connection:
- Assisting with everyday domestic activities such as meal prep,
personal care, domestic assistance, or grocery shopping
- Supporting safe transport to appointments or local outings
- Encouraging engagement in social and community activities
- Promoting the development of daily routines and independent living skills
- Documenting basic progress notes and communicating respectfully with care teams
This is a non-clinical, support-focused recovery role. You will make a tangible difference in someone’s life while gaining experience in the community services field.
What You'll Need
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children’s Check
- Infection Control Certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Police Check
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- A car & valid Australian driver’s license with comprehensive insurance
- Relevant experience and/or educational qualification such as Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or similar, Diploma in Community Services, Mental Health, or Counselling.
- A professional attitude, reliability, and robust communication skills
Award Coverage
This position is covered under the SCHADS Award Levels 1.3–2.2, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Applicable allowances are paid in line with Fair Work entitlements.
