About the Role
The Supporter Services Team Leader leads and develops a team of Supporter Relationship Specialists to deliver exceptional experiences across every supporter interaction. This role combines people leadership, supporter experience improvement and operational excellence. You will coach and empower your team, use supporter insights and feedback to identify opportunities, and test new ways of improving the supporter journey.
Working collaboratively across Compassion Australia, you will help create experiences that strengthen supporter connections, encourage deeper engagement and inspire continued impact in the communities we serve.
About You
You are a people-focused leader who is passionate about developing teams and creating experiences that make a difference. You will bring experience leading teams within supporter services, customer experience, contact centres, member services, donor care or a similar environment.
You enjoy understanding what matters to people, using insights to solve problems and finding better ways to deliver meaningful experiences. You are comfortable balancing team leadership, operational priorities and supporting complex enquiries, while building a culture of care, curiosity and continuous improvement. Most importantly, you are aligned with Compassion’s mission and values and excited to help supporters see the impact of their generosity.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead,
coach and develop a team of Supporter Relationship Specialists to deliver thoughtful, personalised and impactful supporter experiences.
- Create a culture of curiosity, learning and continuous improvement, empowering the team to test new ideas and find better ways to support our community of supporters.
- Use supporter feedback, insights and service data to identify opportunities, improve experiences and strengthen supporter connections.
- Partner with internal teams to design and implement improvements across the supporter journey, ensuring every interaction reflects Compassion’s mission and values.
- Monitor service performance, quality and trends to identify opportunities to enhance team capability and improve supporter outcomes.
- Support the resolution of complex supporter enquiries, ensuring concerns are handled with care, empathy and excellence.
- Champion a supporter-centred approach, helping supporters better understand the impact of their generosity and inspiring them to continue making a difference in the lives of children and communities.
What You'll Bring
- Experience leading and developing teams within supporter services, customer experience, donor relations, member services or contact centre environments.
- Solid coaching and people leadership skills, with the ability to build capability and a positive team culture.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using insights, data and feedback to identify trends and improve services.
- A passion for creating better customer or supporter experiences through innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with CRM systems and multi-channel service delivery.
- Relevant qualifications in business, customer experience, leadership or a related field are desirable.
