We are seeking a reliable and motivated Groundsperson to join our Polo Fields team. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the polo fields and surrounding grounds to the highest standard, helping ensure our facilities are always presented in exceptional condition.
Working closely with the Polo Fields Manager you will contribute to the maintenance and presentation of one of Australia’s premier polo properties.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Operating ride-on and commercial mowing equipment to maintain polo fields and surrounding grounds.
- Mowing, edging, whipper snipping and general turf maintenance.
- Assisting with irrigation, fertilising and seasonal turf care.
- Maintaining gardens, pathways and common areas around the polo precinct.
- Assisting with field preparation before polo matches and events.
- Performing routine maintenance and care of machinery and equipment.
- Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring work is completed safely.
- Supporting the wider maintenance team with general grounds duties as required.
About You
Ideally you will have experience working in grounds maintenance, agriculture, landscaping or property maintenance and you will be:
- Experienced operating ride-on mowers or similar machinery.
- Safety focused with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and enjoy working outdoors.
- Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Able to work effectively within a team.
- Willing to learn and take pride in producing high-quality work.
- Hold a current driver’s licence (essential).
- Chemical Accreditation and machinery experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
