SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The people we’re looking for are passionate members of thelocal community who take pride in providing a valuable service tolocal children and families. As part of our swim team, we’relooking for:

Qualifications & Certifications





- AUSTSWIM Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety –Current and valid certification required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – Current andvalid certification required.
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Check isrequired.

Desirable Skills and Experience

- Previous experience working with children in aneducational, recreational, or aquatic environment.
- Sound knowledge of Learn to Swim principles, techniques,and instructional methodologies.
- Ability to read, understand, apply, and effectivelycommunicate safety procedures to students and parents.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with theability to engage positively and professionally with a widerange of people in a diverse community.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and responsibly inenvironments where supervision may be limited.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Deliver fun, engaging, and high-quality Learn to Swimlessons in line with program standards and safetyguidelines.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, andmembers to support learning progress and programretention.
- Maintain accurate student records and report progress toensure clear communication and consistency across the SwimSchool.
- Ensure a safe and supportive teaching environment byfollowing all safety procedures and reporting hazards orincidents promptly.
