NCH Connect is a well-established cabling contractor delivering telecommunications infrastructure solutions to commercial, healthcare, and government clients. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer / Trade Services Bookkeeper to join our team in a permanent part-time role, working three days per week.

This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and has a strong background in payroll, accounts payable, and bookkeeping. Experience working within a Tier 1 Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) environment and the construction, telecommunications, electrical, or trade services industries will be highly regarded.

About the Role

Reporting to Management, you will be responsible for the day-to-day payroll, accounts payable, and bookkeeping functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the smooth operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Process end-to-end payroll in accordance with Tier 1 EBA requirements
- Onboard new employees into payroll and HR systems
- Review and process supplier invoices
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment discrepancies
- Prepare supplier payment runs and issue remittance advice
- Manage retention schedules and monitor outstanding payments




- Complete company credit card reconciliations
- Assist with BAS preparation and lodgement
- Process superannuation contributions and lodgements
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
- Provide general bookkeeping and administrative support as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience in payroll administration together with strong accounts payable and bookkeeping skills.

- Demonstrated experience processing payroll within a Tier 1 EBA setting
- Previous experience in accounts payable and general bookkeeping
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (Xero Certification is desirable)
- Experience with CIRT and JETCO requirements will be highly regarded
- Previous experience within the construction, telecommunications, electrical, or trade services sectors
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
