About the position
This is a hands-on finance role that sits at the centre of Pixii Australia's day-to-day financial operations. Reporting to the Finance & HR Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of accounts payable and receivable, bank and inventory reconciliations, financial administration, and supporting month-end reporting activities. You will work closely with operations, warehouse, and management teams to ensure financial accuracy, strong internal controls, and effective business support.
At Pixii's current stage of growth, this role offers exposure across finance, inventory management, and business operations. You will have the opportunity to broaden your skills, contribute to process improvements, and take on increasing responsibility as the business continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable,
and general ledger transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank, supplier, and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within MYOB, Datapel, and other finance systems.
Reconcile inventory balances and investigate variances to ensure stock accuracy.
Manage and maintain accurate supplier, customer, and financial master data.
Respond to supplier and customer enquiries and resolve account-related issues promptly.
Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with credit control and debt collection activities.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes, including reporting and reconciliations.
Support management with financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc information requests.
Contribute to process improvements and maintain compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Provide general administrative and finance support as required.
Who We Are Looking For
You are a detail-oriented finance professional who takes ownership of your work, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering accurate financial information. You are organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, or similar accounting support role.
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting processes.
Experience using MYOB or similar accounting software.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Datapel or inventory management systems.
Exposure to inventory accounting and stock reconciliation processes.
Experience within manufacturing, distribution, technology, or project-based industries.
Understanding of month-end reporting and financial controls.
Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
