Our client is a growing Sunshine Coast builder delivering high-quality commercial, multi-residential and community construction projects.
As the business continues to expand further into commercial construction, government tenders and multi-residential developments, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Tender Manager to join their team.
This role will lead the front-end pricing and tendering of projects, working closely with the company director to secure new work.
Once projects are awarded, they are handed over to our Production Estimator / Contracts Administrator and project delivery team, allowing this role to focus on winning and pricing projects rather than post-contract administration.
The Role
Managing the tender process from enquiry through to submission
Pricing commercial, multi-residential and fit-out projects
Preparing government and private tenders
Experience with QBuild tenders highly regarded
Reviewing drawings, specifications and consultant documentation
Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
Preparing scopes, clarifications and tender submissions
Identifying risks and opportunities within project documentation
Assisting with value engineering and cost planning
Attending tender interviews and meetings with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
Working closely with the director to secure new projects
Projects typically range from $500k commercial fit-outs through to $5M+ commercial and multi-residential developments.
About You
Robust understanding of the construction process and trade sequencing
Experience pricing commercial or multi-residential projects
Experience preparing government tenders
QBuild tender experience highly regarded
Strong subcontractor and supplier network preferred
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
This role may also suit an experienced Site Supervisor or Project Manager looking to transition into estimating.
