Role Overview:
We are seeking an experiencedCourier Fleet Controller / Allocatorto join our Sydney team. This role is central to our same‑day operations, requiring someone who understands the pace, complexity, and decision‑making involved in managing a courier fleet. If you excel at dispatching, route optimisation, and real‑time problem‑solving, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your logistics career.
Responsibilities:
- Courier fleet allocation— Dispatch and coordinate same‑day courier jobs with a strong focus on efficiency and service quality.
- Route optimisation— Make fast, informed decisions to maximise fleet productivity and minimise delays.
- Driver communication— Provide clear,
timely instructions and support to drivers throughout the day.
- Client communication— Maintain professional, solution‑focused communication with customers.
- Transport management systems— Use modern TMS platforms to manage job flow, monitor fleet activity, and maintain operational accuracy.
- Assist with depot operations as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Courier fleet allocation experience— Previous experience allocating or dispatching courier fleets is highly regarded and strongly preferred.
- Minimumone yearof experience in the transport or courier industry (same‑day courier experience is a major advantage).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and natural problem‑solving ability.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and full working rights.
- A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
