Lead a well-run 75-bed home in a values-driven, community-owned organisation
Clarence Village is a community-owned, not-for-profit provider of residential aged care, retirement living and community housing on the NSW North Coast. We're proud of the quality of care we provide and the culture we've built, and we're looking for a Facility Manager to lead our Dougherty Villa team into its next chapter.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO, you'll hold overall responsibility for the operations, quality and culture of Dougherty Villa. You'll directly lead a senior team of three - and it's through them, and the wider team, that you'll ensure our residents receive consistently excellent care.
This is a genuine leadership role. We're looking for someone who leads by developing their people: setting clear direction, coaching, removing barriers, and building a team that feels united and supported. Operational competence matters, but the heart of this job is people.
What you'll do
Lead, coach and develop a senior management team to deliver strategic, effective management
Provide high-level oversight of the systems and processes that deliver high-quality resident care
Coordinate the response to incidents and issues, and manage facility risk in line with our policies
Keep the CEO informed of significant changes and risks
Work with the CFO and corporate team to operate within budget and allocate resources effectively
Oversee key processes including admissions and resident funding
Report on key plans, data and benchmarks to the CEO and Board
What positive looks like for our home
A home that consistently meets its quality, clinical and financial targets
A proactive,
effective and caring workplace culture
A senior team that is clear on direction, well-supported, and performing
A strong internal and external reputation as a high-quality provider and employer of choice
About you
Demonstrated leadership experience and skills in aged care or a comparable environment
High emotional intelligence, and a genuine commitment to developing and supporting a team
Strong working knowledge of accreditation, compliance and clinical governance systems
Sound financial and operational judgement
A solution-focused, accountable and calm approach to problem-solving
Clinical currency (RN registration) is well regarded, though not essential
A commitment to ongoing development, particularly in leadership
Why Clarence Village
A well-run, stable home with a strong senior team and good foundations to build on
A community-owned, purpose-driven not-for-profit with values at its core
The chance to genuinely shape a facility's leadership and culture
