About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Records Officer to join our Governance and Corporate Strategy team.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring Council's information and records are accurately captured, managed and accessible, supporting legislative compliance and the effective delivery of services across the organisation.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Manage Council's incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Register and maintain records within Council's Electronic Document and Records Management System (Content Manager/EDRMS) in accordance with policies and legislative requirements
- Provide records management support to staff, including record searches, system assistance and advice on recordkeeping practices
- Maintain the integrity of Council's electronic and physical records through accurate data entry, quality assurance and file management
- Support records digitisation, archiving and storage activities,



including assisting with records management projects and compliance initiatives
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Council's records management practices while supporting the Governance and Corporate Strategy team

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

- Certificate III in Records Management (or equivalent) with significant experience in records management or a related field
- Experience using Content Manager or a similar Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS)
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong commitment to maintaining accurate, high-quality records
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Solid communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across the organisation
- A collaborative and adaptable approach, with sound computer skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
