About the Role

Work across a diverse portfolio of healthcare, residential and commercial projects.

Contribute to DX and CHW projects in both construct-only and design-and-construct environments.

Lead projects and work autonomously, with support from the wider engineering and project teams.

Provide engineering and technical support to estimating, project and contract teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the production of contract and design documentation under the direction of the Project or Engineering Manager.
- Produce concept designs and identify value engineering opportunities during the tender and bidding process.
- Undertake engineering planning and design for projects that are not fully specified, assigning work as required.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Manager to support engineering resource planning and project programmes.
- Develop, review and coordinate engineering design deliverables including reports, layouts, schematics and calculations such as heat load estimates.
- Assist with the management of internal and subcontracted drafting personnel to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, buildable and coordinated workshop drawings.
- Schedule,



select and prove HVAC equipment to meet project and client requirements.
- Maintain and transfer engineering department documentation and records.
- Assist in planning and implementing procedures and control systems to support effective delivery of engineering deliverables.
- Attend and participate in client design meetings, presentations and services coordination meetings.
- Support supplier and subcontractor selection and ongoing reviews relating to engineering and project delivery.
- Provide in office assistance to project teams to support the correct delivery, installation and commissioning of projects.

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality

Adhere to the Company’s HSE&Q; policies and procedures.

Participate in OH&S; management audits, site inspections, accident investigations and risk assessments.

Ensure corrective actions are implemented for deficiencies identified during management audits.

Leadership and Development

Guide, mentor and train graduate, intern and intermediate engineering staff.

Assist management with education and training programs for company personnel as required.

About You

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience in mechanical services, HVAC, building services or a related engineering environment.

Experience across healthcare, residential and/or commercial projects will be highly regarded.

Knowledge of DX and CHW systems, construct-only and design-and-construct delivery models.

Ability to work independently, lead project work and collaborate effectively with engineering, drafting and project teams.

RPEQ registration is preferred but not essential.
