The Role

We are seeking a proactive, reliable and hands‑on Night Shift Production Lead, to join our overnight production shift at Loco Love (10pm-6am). This role is critical in keeping our night shift team and operations running smoothly at our purpose‑built Byron Bay facility.

We’re looking for an experienced production lead who is ready to hit the ground running and support the ongoing flow of our chocolate production. You’ll be leading a close‑knit team, maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace while also preparing and processing raw ingredients for the day ahead.

You will be supporting the management and supervisor structure to train and lead the night shift and making sure all team members are engaged and correctly on task.

Key responsibilities for the overnight shift include but are not limited to:

- Cleaning the factory to a high standard (HACCAP)
- Sanitising equipment and work areas
- Following food safety and hygiene rules
- Working with the team to meet production targets
- Reporting any equipment issues to supervisors
- Prepping ingredients for chocolate and caramel production
- Pouring chocolate into moulds
- Preparation and processing raw ingredients
- Accurate and timely reporting of production data, wastage and inventory when required.
- Following the guidance and structure provided by team leaders at all times to ensure efficient, safe and harmonious production shift.
- Maintaining an upbeat, can‑do attitude and positive energy toward all tasks and team mates, while fostering an environment of continual improvement and high vibes.

Hours

The overnight shift will run 4 nights per week Monday - Thursday, and we are looking for applicants who are available to work across all of these shifts.

10:00pm–6:00am

Qualifications & Experience

- Cleaning and experience maintaining food safety hygiene standards.
- Previous manufacturing experience in food or packaged goods will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while always being responsible for ones own quality of work.
- Food safety and knowledge of HACCP.
- Fit, willing and able to perform manual tasks and lift up to 25kg at times.
