AION Cargo Solutions Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Import/Export Operator to join our dynamic team at our Pyrmont, NSW facility. This is a full time position that plays a crucial role in our freight and cargo forwarding operations. As an Import/Export Operator, you will be responsible for managing the movement of goods across international borders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the smooth flow of our cargo operations. This role is fundamental to our business, as it directly impacts our ability to deliver reliable and efficient logistics services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor cargo availability, shipment status, and coordinate deliveries
Communicate with shipping lines, transport providers, clients, and overseas agents
Follow up on orders, send booking confirmations, and arrange import delivery
Prepare and process export and import documentation (EDN, PRA, Import Declarations)
Handle invoicing, filing, and other administrative tasks
Manage import operations, including customs clearance and quarantine requirements
Coordinate with government agencies and ensure smooth cargo movement
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding operations (import and/or export)
Proficiency in CargoWise One and Integrated Cargo System (ICS)
Experience with customs clearance procedures and import documentation
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
