About the Role

As our Breakfast Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring every morning service runs smoothly while leading and supporting the team from the front.

This is a hands‑on operational role where you'll supervise the floor, prepare and serve exceptional coffee, assist with breakfast preparation, coach team members, and ensure every guest receives the warm, welcoming experience Hellenika is renowned for.

You’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and leadership team to maintain our premium service standards while helping develop and mentor our front‑of‑house team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership

- Lead the breakfast team by example, creating a positive and supportive team culture.
- Champion our value of Filotimo in every interaction.
- Coach and mentor new team members during service.
- Support daily operations and maintain exceptional service standards.
- Assist with opening procedures and ensure the venue is ready for service.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally.

Coffee & Breakfast Operations





- Prepare consistently high-quality espresso coffee.
- Maintain coffee equipment and ensure presentation standards are met.
- Assist with breakfast food preparation and service.
- Ensure efficient barista workflow during busy periods.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering where required.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the morning shift.

Guest Experience

- Deliver genuine, warm and engaging service.
- Build relationships with our regular guests.
- Ensure Sequence of Service standards are consistently achieved.
- Support the team to create memorable dining experiences every service.

About You

You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys leading others while remaining hands‑on during service.

You’ll also bring:

- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Waiter in a premium café or restaurant.
- Strong barista skills with the ability to produce high‑quality coffee consistently.
- Breakfast preparation experience or confidence working alongside the kitchen during breakfast service.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- A positive attitude and calm approach under pressure.
- A commitment to maintaining high presentation and service standards.
- A current Queensland RSA (or willingness to obtain one).
