An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Boilermakers to join a leading structural steel fabrication company based in Narangba.
This is a workshop-based role working on the fabrication of structural steel columns, pillars and components for commercial and industrial projects. With immediate starts available and plenty of overtime on offer.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel components from engineering drawings
- Perform MIG and Flux Core welding to a high standard
- Cut, grind and finish fabricated steel components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Operate workshop equipment, overhead cranes and forklifts (where licensed)
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work setting
- Work collaboratively to meet production deadlines
Skills & Experience
- Trade Qualified Boilermaker (Cert III Engineering – Fabrication Trade)
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication
- Strong MIG and Flux Core welding experience
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using fabrication equipment and workshop tools
- Reliable with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work independently and within a team
