About the Role
We are seeking a hands on, motivated Project Manager with a solid background in mechanical and structural projects to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. A strong trade background with the drive to learn and grow into the role will be considered.
The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple mechanical and structural projects from initiation through to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Assist in delivering accurate and competitive quotation to customers
- Coordinate engineering, fabrication, procurement, and construction activities.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage client relationships and maintain clear communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers,
and site teams to achieve project objectives.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering mechanical and/or structural projects.
- Technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline (Strong trade background highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of fabrication, installation, construction, and mechanical engineering processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
- Experience in machine and structural estimating and installations.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems.
- Knowledge of Autocad, Simpro and Xero highly desirable but not essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Disciplines, Structural Steel, Construction Management, or related field.
- Trade background as a boilermaker or fitter with boilermaker experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience in industrial, mining, fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environments.
