The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Learning & Development Specialist to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives across our organisation.

Based at our Brendale Depot and supporting our Joyner and Coolum operations, this role is responsible for developing workforce capability across all areas of the business including drivers, workshop employees, customer service, administration, operations and leadership teams.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is passionate about adult learning, organisational development, compliance training and creating engaging learning experiences that improve performance, safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and deliver engaging learning programs across operational, technical, compliance and leadership areas.
- Develop training pathways and competency frameworks for new and existing employees.
- Coordinate and deliver employee inductions and onboarding programs.




- Identify organisational training needs through consultation with managers and business leaders.
- Create and maintain high-quality learning resources, assessments, presentations, videos, guides and eLearning content.
- Manage and continually improve the company's Learning Management System (LMS).
- Monitor training compliance and ensure mandatory competencies remain current.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, competency assessments and business outcomes.
- Coach and support leaders in developing their teams and improving workplace performance.
- Assist with succession planning, career development and leadership development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate training records and reporting.
- Ensure all learning activities comply with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation and professional development across the business.

About You

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or equivalent) (essential).
- Demonstrated experience in a Learning & Development, Organisational Development or Workplace Training role.




- Experience designing and developing learning programs rather than simply delivering existing content.
- Experience administering and improving Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong instructional design and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop professional training materials and documentation.
- Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach with a genuine passion for developing people.
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Experience within the transport, logistics, heavy vehicle or operational industries.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance training requirements.
- Experience creating eLearning modules, video learning content or digital learning resources.
- Experience using SafetyCulture, Microsoft 365 and Learning Management Systems.
