Winmark Wines is a premium Hunter Valley destination located in Broke NSW, where wine, art and nature come together across a stunning estate. Known for its estate-grown Chardonnay, cellar door experiences, sculpture park, art gallery, gift shop, events, functions and boutique accommodation, Winmark offers guests a distinctive and memorable vineyard experience.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper on a part-time basis, 3 days per week, to support the financial administration of a diverse wine, tourism, hospitality and events business.
About the Role:
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping duties including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, payroll processing (approx 10 staff) and preparation of information for BAS lodgment and external accountants.
Reconcile and maintain accurate financial records across cellar door sales, wine club and online sales, art gallery and gift shop transactions, events and functions, accommodation bookings and vineyard-related operations.
Manage integrations and reporting across point-of-sale, booking, accommodation, inventory, procurement and payment systems.
Assist with stock control and financial reporting for wine inventory, cellar door stock movements, wholesale or direct-to-consumer sales and event-related purchasing.
Support monthly management reporting, budgeting, cashflow tracking and year-end preparation.
Liaise with the management team, cellar door staff, accommodation and events teams, suppliers and external accountants to ensure smooth financial operations.
Coordinate invoice coding, purchase order approvals,
supplier payments and expense claims across departments.
Maintain compliant records and support internal processes relating to wine, hospitality, accommodation and event operations.
About You:
Demonstrated bookkeeping experience, ideally with a minimum of 3 years in a small to medium business environment.
Experience in the wine industry, cellar door operations, hospitality, accommodation, tourism or events is highly desirable.
Understanding of direct-to-consumer sales, stock movements, point-of-sale reconciliation and inventory-related financial processes would be advantageous.
Experience in payroll processing, including accurate employee payments, leave records and related compliance requirements, would be an advantage.
Proficient with MYOB/AccountRight or similar accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based business systems.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across a varied business.
Clear communication skills, discretion, reliability and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping or business administration are desirable.
