View Brisbane is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team in Hamilton, QLD 4007. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional operational excellence and guest satisfaction across our venue. As Duty Manager, you will be the leader responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, maintaining service standards and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Your strategic oversight and hands‑on management will directly contribute to the success and reputation of View Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily operations and ensure all areas of the venue maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and service quality
- Manage and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including scheduling, training, performance monitoring and providing constructive feedback
- Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service and resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Monitor financial performance, including cash handling, reconciliation, stock management and cost control
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, licensing requirements and company policies
- Handle emergency situations and security matters with appropriate protocols and incident reporting
- Maintain communication with senior management, providing regular updates on operations, staffing and venue performance
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Manage bookings, reservations and special event coordination as required
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and revenue enhancement

What we’re looking for





- 3+ years' proven experience as a Duty Manager, Operations Manager or similar supervisory role within hospitality, events or leisure venues
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff at all levels
- Exceptional customer service orientation and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure
- Solid understanding of hospitality operations, including front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety standards and liquor licensing requirements relevant to hospitality venues
- Financial acumen including experience with P&L; management, budgeting and cost control
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a rapid‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions independently and under pressure
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by the role
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)




- Experience within the hospitality sector in Brisbane or similar venues is highly desirable
