About the role:

Are you an experienced healthcare professional who has a passion for Mental Health? Do you have an interest in human behaviour? If so, apply for a permanent part-time role (4 days per week) at South Pacific Private Hospital. The Mental Health Intake Nurse will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team, coordinating admissions, providing education to clients and families, and ensuring seamless transitions of care. The role is a non-client facing clinical role and involves working closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support individuals seeking treatment for addiction, trauma, and mental health issues.

Essential Criteria:

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

- Patient assessment and care coordination skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience in mental health and addiction treatment

- Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices

- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team

- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care

- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
