Label Power print high quality full colour labels and provide cost-effective printing solutions.

Based in Acacia Ridge, we design and print full colour labels, stickers and tags - including beer labels, chemical labels, cosmetic labels, food labels, wine labels and custom labels. Label Power uses state of the art digital and flexographic printing technology to print stunning and creative labels.

About the Position:

This is a permanent, office based, full time position where you will be provided with a terrific opportunity to put your exceptional graphic design skills and printing industry experience into action.

Key Responsibilities for the Role:

- Assisting Pre-Press Production by; setting up proofs, designing/ creating artwork as per customer brief
- Stepping and setting up files for press according to the appropriate process for the designated press
- Liaising with customers regarding design work
- Operating within the programs, software, and systems in place within the Graphics Department.
- Recording and reporting hours allocated to jobs in Print MIS where applicable.
- List and date all art approvals sent out and follow up with internal Sales/Customer Service staff to ensure prompt approvals are received to maintain the workflow.
- Referring to estimating and sales teams any opportunities to value-add to design as may be opportune (e.g., Adjusting plates/colours for better design result or to save on production steps and cost).
- Work with production and estimation to develop best-practice production methods.
- Taking initiative in activities related to optimising production outcomes as may be appropriate from time to time

About You:





Our ideal candidate will be proficient at designing for a wide range or printing processes, preferably Digital, Flexographic, Letterpress, Screen, Hot Foil, Embossing, Wide Format, HP Indigo and/or UV Inkjet(preferable, not essential).

Along with your experience as a Pre Press / Graphic Design professional, you will also bring a positive, enthusiastic attitude, being open to continuous improvement and self-development. As a team player, you will enjoy a supportive and fun workplace environment.

Experienced in Graphic Design, preferably in the printing industry

The confidence and motivation to give 100% every day

KnowledgeofPre-Press, Colour management & Digital workflow

Software Skills -Adobe Creative Suite - Especially Illustrator and Photoshop

An understanding of Print Production - Digital / Flexographic label printing

Strong knowledge of stepping and trapping for Label Pre-Press

Ability to manage daily workflow and prioritise jobs accordingly

Be quality focused with an eye for detail

Strong self-belief within a team environment

The willingness and ability to learn current skills

Exceptional communication

Outstanding written and computer literacy skills

Ability to respond to requests in an effective and efficient manner.

Strong time management and problem solving skills.

Ability to multi-task

Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
