This isn't your typical transactional accounting role. You'll be the go-to person for financial reporting, compliance, technical accounting advice and month-end processes, while working closely with stakeholders across a large and complex business.

What you'll be doing:
You'll play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation through:
- Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements and reports
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and cash flow reporting
- Providing technical accounting advice across a broad range of financial matters
- Assisting with audits, compliance requirements and statutory reporting
- Contributing to the resolution of complex accounting and reporting issues
- Preparing reports, presentations and insights for key stakeholders
- Supporting financial projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Helping ensure accounting policies, controls and compliance obligations are met
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification (or be actively working towards it)
- Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role within a large or complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SunSystems, TechnologyOne or similar
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing deadlines
