Redhill Hospitality is seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to join our team in Canberra. This is a full-time position based at our property in Canberra. As Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations, management and profitability of the hotel. You will lead a diverse team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive the strategic vision of the property whilst maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

- Overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments
- Managing budgets, financial forecasting and revenue optimisation to ensure profitability and targets are met
- Leading, motivating and developing a diverse team of staff, fostering a positive workplace culture and providing training and support
- Ensuring guest satisfaction through the implementation of high service standards and responding to guest feedback and complaints professionally
- Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, employment law and company policies
- Managing vendor relationships to ensure value for money and quality of services
- Implementing marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase occupancy rates and revenue
- Conducting regular property inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the hotel meets brand standards
- Liaising with corporate clients, travel agents and other stakeholders to build and maintain relationships
- Reporting on performance metrics and key performance indicators to senior management





What we're looking for

- Proven management experience of at least 5 years in a hotel or hospitality establishment of similar size and complexity
- Solid financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L; responsibility and revenue optimisation
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Outstanding customer service orientation and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and property management software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organisation
- Problem-solving ability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace
- Relevant hospitality or hotel management qualifications or certifications (such as a Diploma in Hotel Management)
- Experience with health and safety compliance and employment relations a distinct advantage
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
