Shire Skin Cancer Doctors – Sutherland NSW

Shire Skin Cancer Doctors officially opened early this year, are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our team in Sutherland, NSW. This is a full time position offering an exciting prospect to lead the operational and administrative functions of our Skin Cancer practice. As Practice Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth, efficient running of our clinic whilst maintaining the highest standards of patient care and service excellence. You will report directly to the Clinic Directors and will have responsibility for managing staff, finances, compliance, and all day to day operational matters that contribute to the success of our practice.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the practice, ensuring efficient workflows and optimal patient experience
- Recruit, train, supervise and mentor clinical and administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Manage practice finances, including budgeting, payroll, invoicing and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, privacy laws, health and safety requirements and professional standards
- Implement and maintain practice policies and procedures that align with best practice standards in healthcare management
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment systems and patient communication to maximise efficiency and satisfaction
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers to maintain equipment, facilities and resources
- Monitor and analyse practice performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
- Handle patient enquiries, complaints and feedback with professionalism and discretion
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards and data protection requirements

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Practice Manager in a healthcare setting, preferably within Skin Cancer, dermatology or General practice




- Strong knowledge of healthcare management, medical practice operations and healthcare compliance requirements
- Experience in staff recruitment, training and performance management
- Proficiency with practice management software and electronic health records systems - ideally Best Practice
- Excellent financial management and budgeting skills
- Understanding of patient privacy regulations, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and GDPR where applicable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across clinical and administrative teams
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and support staff
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Problem solving ability and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- A professional approach to patient care and confidentiality
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare management, business administration or a related field would be advantageous
