The Fleet Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective management of the company's bus fleet. This role oversees vehicle maintenance, registration and inspection requirements, workshop coordination, compliance with transport regulations, and the availability of vehicles to meet operational demands. The Fleet Manager works closely with drivers, mechanics, operations staff, and external service providers to ensure the fleet remains roadworthy, reliable, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate preventative maintenance programs for all buses and fleet vehicles.

Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and legislative requirements.

Monitor vehicle condition, utilisation,



servicing schedules, and maintenance costs.

Coordinate repairs, warranty claims, breakdown responses, and defect rectifications.

Maintain accurate fleet records including service histories and maintenance documentation.

Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with NSW transport regulations and company standards.

Conduct or coordinate vehicle inspections and roadworthiness assessments.

Manage pink slip and brown slip inspection requirements.

Monitor vehicle registrations, insurance, permits, and compliance deadlines.

Investigate vehicle incidents, defects, and safety concerns and implement corrective actions.

Provide fleet availability reports and recommendations to management.

Assist with vehicle procurement, disposals, and replacement planning.

Participate in emergency and breakdown response management when required.

- Current and valid NSW HR (Heavy Rigid) Driver Licence.
- Current Authorised Examiner Accreditation with the ability to conduct:
- Pink Slip (eSafety Check) inspections
- Brown Slip (Unregistered Vehicle Inspection) inspections

- Demonstrated experience managing a commercial vehicle fleet.
- Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and transport compliance requirements.
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use fleet management and maintenance software systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
