We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and highly skilled Support Workers to join our growing team. This role involves supporting participants with complex needs to achieve their goals while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL), community settings, and in-home environments. You will work with individuals who have complex support needs and require confident, proactive, and professional care.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in the disability support sector.
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex needs, including:
- Severe behaviours of concern
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Epilepsy
- Solid understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed support practices.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings, sleepovers, and activenight shifts.
Qualifications & Compliance
Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or a related qualification.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check (where required).
- Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current National Police Check (if required).
The following will be highly regarded:
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training or equivalent de-escalation training.
- Knowledge of following & understanding of Behaviour Support Plans
- Manual handling and hoist experience.
- Epilepsy management, or other complex health support experience.
