About the Role
We are seeking for a passionate and motivated Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by enhancing the quality of life of our residents.
In this role, you will go beyond coordinating activities—you will build genuine connections with residents and their families, foster a strong sense of community, and create engaging wellbeing programs that promote purpose, joy, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, coordinate and deliver resident-focused lifestyle and wellbeing programs
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support social, emotional, physical, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing
- Conduct resident assessments to understand individual preferences, interests, and needs
- Encourage participation and build meaningful relationships with residents and families
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure person-centred care
- Monitor and evaluate programs, making improvements where needed
- Organise special events and community engagement activities (including involvement of volunteers and families)
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities and resident interactionsSupport accreditation processes and compliance with aged care standards
- Provide guidance and support to lifestyle team members (with leadership opportunities)
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in line with policies and procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older people
- Relevant experience in aged care, community care, or healthcare settings
- Certificate IV in Leisure & Health, Diversional Therapy, or Aged Care (desirable)
- Experience delivering lifestyle or wellbeing programs
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements
- Experience supporting residents living with dementia and cognitive disability
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Confidence using IT systems and documentation platforms
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team
- A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach
Requirements
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Willingness to transport residents to appointments and outings
- Proof of Australian working rights
- Up-to-date vaccinations (including COVID-19, as per current guidelines)
