What is the job?

The Café Manager/Head Barista is responsible for the delivery of an exceptional café experience at The Fold. The Fold is the cafe in the new Victoria Cross building in North Sydney, directly above the new Metro station. This role is essential for daily operations of the café, and crucial to caffeinating the good people of North Sydney!

Reporting into the Precinct Manager this role is responsible for the following:

- The daily operation of the Café at Victoria Cross in its Monday to Friday operating rhythm.
- Ensuring we serve the best coffee in North Sydney, with our Single O bean.
- Lead and train the café team in barista and customer service skills.
- Stock taking and inventory management.




- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation of the café at all times.
- Oversee the correct and hygienic food handling standards across the café.
- Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best possible food and beverage offering.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

- Excellent time management, organisational and customer service skills.
- Minimum 3 years barista experience, in a quick-paced Café environment, with coffee knowledge.
- Experience of managing a small café as part of a broader delivery team.
