Noosa Day Hospital is a new, multidisciplinary facility opening soon. This is a unique prospect to join the founding team and shape the culture, practices and standards of a brand-new service.

The hospital features three state-of-the-art operating theatres and contemporary recovery and patient care areas. We support a broad range of specialties, including Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Breast Surgery, Pain Management and MOHS Surgery.

Located within the Noosa Health Precinct, the hospital will operate alongside specialist consulting suites and allied health services, delivering integrated surgical care from pre‑admission through to recovery.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Administration Manager to join our team on a full‑time basis.

Responsibilities

- Performing opening / closing duties of the day surgery unit
- Maintaining positive interactions with patients, carers, VMOs and specialist rooms
- Liaising with Private Health Funds regarding patient eligibility
- Processing payments via EFTPOS and handling billing information
- Preparation of daily banking
- Preparation of patient invoices/receipts
- Preparation/distribution of daily mail
- Accurate and timely preparation of theatre list and patient medical charts
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanour
- Medical record management to ensure legislative requirements are met
- Management of reception staff including training and development

Experience and Key Skills Required





- Proven track record and extensive experience in the area of office administration and people management (preferable, but not essential, that this experience was within a hospital / healthcare environment).
- Certificate in Medical Terminology (desirable, but not necessary)
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment is essential
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- The ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle anything that comes your way.
- Ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- A high regard for confidentiality of information
