Senior Support Leader | Onsite Shared Support – Independent Living

Responsible for leading and supporting the day-to-day operations of our Onsite Shared Support – Independent Living, while fostering a safe, welcoming and person‑centred environment for tenants. Acting as a key point of contact for staff, tenants, families and stakeholders, this role combines operational leadership with hands‑on support to ensure exceptional service delivery, positive tenant outcomes, team capability, compliance and effective site operations.
Located in the Sutherland Shire regions, this position is ideal for an experienced Senior Support Worker or emerging leader who is passionate about mentoring teams, resolving complex situations and creating inclusive communities where people can thrive.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred support in line with individual support plans
Mentor and support staff to ensure safe, consistent practice, compliance, and qualified standards
Maintain oversight of documentation, incidents, and NDIS compliance
Support with medication management (if required), in line with individual tenant needs and care requirements.
Coordinate rosters, leave, vacancies, timesheets, and daily workforce requirements
Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement through strong WHS leadership and incident management
The role incorporates both hands‑on support work and scheduled administrative responsibilities.
ABOUT YOU
Your experience in the heath, disability or aged care fields has provided you with the necessary experience to help support those around you. Your knowledge and understanding of the disability sector are strong. You understand the environment and are proactive about these rapidly evolving conditions.
We are looking for applicants who exhibit the following:
5+ yearspreviousexperience working in a frontline, client facing role such as Support Worker, Nurse, Paramedic, Psychologist, Occupational or Speech Therapist (highly desirable).
Certificate III or IVinDisability,IndividualSupportor a relateddiscipline.
Previousexperience supervising frontline staff (desirable).
Demonstratedunderstandingof NDIS operational requirements,funding,budgetingand effective rostering.
Ability to build strong working relationships with different stakeholders such as clients, families, colleagues, leaders and allied health professionals.
Creativity to be able to work clients and team members to meet client goals.
A passion for creating incredible client experiences that allows people to realise their potential.
