The Role

As Reception Manager,you’lloversee the day-to-day reception operations while leading a high-energy team focused on member experience, retail performance, and club presentation.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys coaching and developing staff, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service standards.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

Lead and manage front-of-house operations and reception presentation standards

Train, coach, roster, and support reception staff while driving accountability to KPIs, systems, and processes

Ensure all staff onboarding and training is completed in line with company expectations and operational standards





Conduct regular monthly check-ins with staff to provide ongoing support, feedback, and professional development opportunities

Drive retail sales across the Pro Shop and Barbell Café through selling, upselling, member engagement, and implementing initiatives to improve sales performance

Manage café ordering, stock control, and inventory processes to ensure operational efficiency and product availability

Build strong relationships with members and create exceptional service experiences

Support membership enquiries, administration tasks, and system management

Maintain strong product knowledge across supplements, retail, and café offerings

Support visual merchandising andmaintainhigh retail presentation standards

Work collaboratively with club leadership to improve overall club performance and member experience

Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop, and support a team

Strong communicationand relationship-building skills

Confidence in sales, upselling, and customer engagement

Experience or a strong interest in supplements, nutrition, and fitness products

Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities in a rapid-paced environment

Strong understanding of operational systems, processes, administration, and attention to detail

Proven ability to work towards and exceed KPIs while following company procedures and expectations

Experience in customer service, member engagement, and conflict resolution

Positive, proactive, and professional approach to leadership and teamwork

An outgoing, motivated, and energetic personality with a results-driven mindset

A genuine passion for health, fitness, and delivering exceptional member experiences

Previousfitness industry experience highly regarded.
