Clutch Racing is opening Gold Coast's premier sim racing venue in October 2026 - high-end racing simulators, a premium lounge environment, and a genuinely different night out for anyone into motorsport, gaming, or a good time with mates. We're looking for an Events & Relationship Manager to drive the commercial side of the business: turning enquiries into bookings and building the corporate and community relationships that will make this venue the go-to destination for corporate events, team building, and private functions.
This is a rare chance to build something from the ground up - you'll shape how we sell, package, and deliver events from day one. You don't need a motorsport background to thrive here, but if you're into cars, racing, or sim racing, you'll be right at home.
The role formally starts in September 2026, ahead of our October launch, but there's an opportunity to come on board earlier in a part time or casual capacity if you're keen to get involved sooner. Either way, you can grow your hours as the venue ramps up and the role proves out - there's a clear path to full time as bookings and events volume build.
One thing to be upfront about: this isn't a desk job. Like everyone on the team, you'll spend real time on the floor - serving guests, supporting sessions, and pitching in wherever the venue needs it, especially in the early days. The events and relationship side of the role grows as the business does, but being hands-on in the venue is part of the job for everyone, always.
What you'll do
- Respond to enquiries and convert leads into bookings for events, functions,
and group experiences
- Proactively source new opportunities through outreach, networking, and partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, partners, and repeat customers
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee events from first enquiry to post-event follow-up
- Develop and refine event packages, pricing, and positioning for different customer segments
- Work with the wider team to promote events and grow bookings, partnerships, and revenue
- Support the floor and guest experience alongside the crew, particularly as we get the venue up and running
What you need
- Strong communication skills and confidence building trust with corporate clients and partners
- Confidence in sales - handling enquiries, closing bookings, and finding new opportunities
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple events and priorities at once
- Ability to stay calm and adaptable in a fast-paced, live environment
- Current RSA (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
Positive to have
- Experience in events, functions, or hospitality coordination
- Previous sales or business development experience, ideally with corporate/B2B clients
- Comfort working towards targets or KPIs
- Familiarity with CRM or booking platforms
- A strong local network or genuine interest in motorsport and experiential venues
Pay: $70,000-$75,000 + super (pro rata for part time/casual), plus a quarterly performance bonus (up to 15-20% of base) tied to booking revenue and new corporate accounts.
