About the Role

Working closely with the Accounting and Payroll team, you'll assist in delivering accurate and timely financial services to a portfolio of clients while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

Essential Functions

- Daily bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- End-of-month procedures, including preparing accruals and prepayment journals




- Assisting with the preparation of accurate monthly financial statements for review by the Management Accountant
- Responding to client and supplier enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting with annual audits

Additional Duties

- Providing support to the accounting team as required
- Processing weekly accounts payable
- Processing weekly payroll
- Assisting with general accounting duties as required

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys learning, takes pride in producing accurate work and thrives in a collaborative environment.

You’ll ideally have:

- Previous experience using MYOB and/or Xero
- Previous payroll experience
- Hospitality industry experience (highly regarded)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality
