Due to increasing demand, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator/Supervisor to join their high-performing team on the Gold Coast.
The Role
This is a fantastic chance to take on a dual Estimator/Supervisor role where you’ll be responsible for assessing property damage, estimating repair costs, and supervising trades to ensure timely, high-quality restorations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting building insurance assessments and preparing detailed reports
- Supervising building reinstatement works
- Engaging, coordinating, and managing trades throughout the restoration process
- Monitoring job progress and resolving issues as they arise
- Liaising with insurance companies and insured parties
- Organising property access with insured clients
- Managing disputes and delivering timely resolutions
- Ensuring all works comply with OH&S; requirements and contractual obligations
- Coordinating inspections and sign-offs from building surveyors
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervising role
- Previous experience in insurance building (highly desirable but not essential)
- Trade qualifications in building (carpentry preferred) or a related field
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Solid computer literacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Good knowledge of OHS legislation and industry regulations
- Familiarity with current market rates and trade practices
- The ability to provide accurate estimates independently
- A current and valid driver’s license
