Vacuum Excavation Australia Pty Ltd is seeking experienced HR and HC Truck Drivers to join our transport team, delivering steel products to customers across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

In addition to our specialist vacuum excavation services, we provide dedicated transport services to long-term commercial customers.

These additional positions have become available due to increased demand under a long-term established contract.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an HR / HC Truck Driver, your responsibilities will include:

- Safely transporting steel products to customer and project sites
- Completing deliveries throughout South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales
- Checking loads and ensuring all products are correctly restrained
- Understanding and complying with vehicle load limits
- Operating a vehicle loading crane where required
- Completing daily vehicle inspections and relevant delivery documentation
- Providing professional and courteous service to customers
- Complying with company safety procedures and all applicable transport requirements

The position involves load restraint, crane operation and some physical duties associated with steel deliveries.

ABOUT YOU

You will suit this role if you are a reliable, safety-conscious driver who takes pride in your vehicle, load security and customer service.

The successful applicant will have:





- A current HR or HC Driver Licence
- A minimum of one year’s heavy vehicle driving experience
- A current White Card – General Construction Induction
- A demonstrated safe driving history
- A sound understanding of vehicle load limits and load-restraint requirements
- The ability to safely complete the physical requirements of the position
- The ability to work independently and follow delivery and safety procedures
- Full Australian working rights

Experience transporting steel products and operating crane trucks will be highly regarded but is not essential.

A current Vehicle Loading Crane High Risk Work Licence is preferred. However, applicants willing to obtain the licence are encouraged to apply.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to provide a current Queensland Transport Traffic History and successfully complete a pre-employment medical.
