OUR TEAM
Our Protected Vehicles team works closely with clients to design, manufacture, maintain and upgrade protected vehicles that keep people safe, all around the world. Our state-of-the-art workshops are set up to help us deliver Hawkei and Bushmaster military vehicles to strict defence standards – and set our people on rewarding career paths.
YOUR ROLE
Working from our Bendigo site on Dja Dja Wurrung land, your role purpose is to commence and complete a registered apprenticeship in Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Surface Finishing), which is typically a 4-year apprenticeship.
Fabrication Surface Finishing (Industrial Paint and Blast) tradespersons operate a variety of blasting and industrial spray-painting equipment. They clean and prepare surfaces to then apply paint and other industrial coatings to products and hard surfaces.
- Prepare surfaces of items to be painted
- Correctly load, operate and adjust industrial spray-painting equipment
- Handle, move and secure surfaces for drying, further painting and packaging
- Finish products - clean, polish and apply decorative, protective or disruptive coatings
Your Experience
- Genuine interest in gaining a trade qualification
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
