Batmac Constructions Pty Ltd is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a carpenter in the Illawarra area.

With over30 years of experience, Batmac Constructions has established itself as a highly successful company in the Construction and Commercial Building Maintenance industry. Since its inception in 1994, Batmac Constructions has been headquartered in Nowra and has grown to become one of the largest and most trusted building companies on the South Coast.

Our Wollongong and North Nowra offices enable us to efficiently deliver Commercial Projects and a wide range of Commercial Maintenance Services across the Shoalhaven, Illawarra, Eurobodalla, and Southern Highlands regions.

Skills and Competencies

Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within commercial building maintenance environments.

Completion of a recognised carpentry apprenticeship or relevant trade qualification.

Experience delivering scheduled and corrective maintenance , and minor project works.

Ability to use a mobile maintenance management system to receive, action, track, and close out work orders.

Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess maintenance issues, identify root causes,



and implement effective solutions.

Ability to identify when additional trades are required (e.g., Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC) and coordinate onsite activities to ensure timely and efficient completion of works.

Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple maintenance requests while ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.

Demonstrated ability to maintain skilled working relationships with clients, tenants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

High level of customer service with a professional and courteous approach in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Ability to follow instructions, act with discretion, and maintain confidentiality where required.

Excellent time management and organisational abilities.

Capable of working independently across multiple sites or as part of a broader maintenance team.

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and completing required works.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Committed to safe work practices and promoting a safe working environment at all times.
