Fabworx is a growing metal fabrication company seeking a highly organised and proactive Qualified Boilermaker- 3rd or 4th year apprentice or a sheet metalworker to fill multiple positions within our team. These are key roles within our business, supporting daily operations and working closely alongside our engineers, office manager, and other trades.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Qualified Boilermaker-3rd or 4th year apprentice or Sheet metal worker to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our business.
Working closely with our Engineer and Boilermakers, you will be responsible for the fabrication of various components, from concrete moulds, structural steel, and custom sheet metal components, to trailers, truck bodies and garden sculptures. Ensuring a high quality of workmanship and adherence to all standards and safety requirements you will work as part of a close knit team to deliver projects.
This role suits someone who takes initiative, works efficiently, and thrives in a fast-paced,
trade-based environment and enjoys working on a large variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret workshop drawings
- MIG, TIG welding of mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel
- Deliver a high standard of workmanship
- Schedule jobs and effectively prioritise urgent work.
- Identify tasks proactively and step in where needed when work is complete.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise, implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety procedures and quality control measures.
Skills & Experience
- Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker or relevant experience
- MIG, TIG welding of mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel
- Sound understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong eye for detail
- Working as part of a team as well as independently
- Experience operating laser cutter and press brake experience strongly desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
