Plaza Dental Centre has been serving the Hurstville community for 30+ years, and have built a reputation for being an outstanding dental practice in the area. We are looking for a Casual Dental Assistant to join our dental team in Hurstville where you will provide exceptional patient care and chairside dental assistance in a variety of dental procedures. This is a busy, rapid-paced role where you will be given the opportunity to further develop your dental knowledge and skills by our supportive team.

Our hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. This casual position is available on a Tuesday and will be supporting a Dentist and OHT alongside another dental assistant.

Who you are

- Fast, sharp and tech-savvy, comfortable with digital systems and keen to master new ones.
- Meticulous with detail, especially in sterilisation, records and materials.
- Warm and reassuring with patients, especially anxious patients, children and teens.
- A team player who takes initiative and takes pride in doing things properly.
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience (preferred but not essential).



If you’re great and eager to learn, full training will be provided.

The Responsibilities

- Providing all aspects of chairside dental assistance to our Dentists
- Delivering exceptional dental care and excellent customer service
- Instrument reprocessing and sterilisation procedures
- Advising patients of care
- Fostering professional working relationships with team members, patients and medical staff
- Maintaining compliance with organisational policies and procedures
- Answering telephone calls and enquiries
- Administration support
