NHC Disability Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Campbelltown, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and other daily living activities
- Providing support and companionship to clients, engaging them in social, recreational and community-based activities
- Helping clients to develop and maintain essential life skills, such as budgeting, cooking and household management
- Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in a respectful and person-centred manner
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support clients' care plans and funding requirements
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including allied health professionals, to deliver coordinated and holistic support

What we're looking for

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, providing support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs
- A demonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to tailor support to individual needs
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on promoting client independence and wellbeing
- A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others
- A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or a similar field, is highly desirable
