Wiseway Logistics is an ASX-listed international freight forwarding and logistics company with operations across Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore and the USA. We provide integrated logistics solutions including air and sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing, transport and distribution.

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Manager to join our Head Office in Bankstown. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant management of payroll while overseeing the company's HR function. You will work closely with senior management and be supported by an experienced HR Coordinator who manages the day-to-day HR administration.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading the payroll function across the Wiseway Group, ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of payroll for our Australian operations while coordinating international payroll processes across our overseas offices. You will also oversee the company's HR function, providing strategic guidance and support to management while working closely with an experienced HR Coordinator who manages the day-to-day HR administration.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payroll cycles for the Australian business.

Coordinate and oversee international payroll processes across Current Zealand, China, Singapore and the USA, working with local payroll providers and finance teams to ensure timely and compliant payroll processing.

Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with Australian legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and statutory obligations, while supporting compliance with relevant international payroll requirements.

Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, superannuation, payroll tax and other statutory requirements.

Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, year-end processing and payroll audits.

Oversee payroll reporting for both Australian and international operations.





Liaise with the ATO, superannuation funds, Workers Compensation, icare, external auditors and international payroll providers.

Maintain the integrity of payroll systems and employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.

Identify and implement payroll process improvements and system enhancements.

Partner closely with Finance and HR to ensure payroll-related changes, including new starters, terminations, salary reviews and organisational changes, are accurately reflected across all payroll systems.

Human Resources

Provide leadership and support to the HR Coordinator.

Oversee recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes.

Review and approve employment contracts, policy updates and HR documentation.

Provide advice to managers on employee relations, performance management and workplace legislation.

Manage disciplinary matters, grievances and investigations where required.

Oversee workers compensation, return-to-work programs and WHS-related HR compliance.

Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, National Employment Standards and company policies.

Support leadership with organisational planning, workforce development and HR initiatives.

Review and improve HR policies, procedures and systems.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex end-to-end payroll functions.

Experience using ADP Payroll is essential.

Experience coordinating payroll across multiple countries or international entities will be highly regarded.

Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and statutory compliance requirements.

Previous HR management or HR Business Partner experience.

Experience with CargoWise is advantageous.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced international business.

Have obtained a bachelor’s degree in Australia.
