As exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Officer to join a large, multi-site operation. Reporting to the Payroll Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Running the full payroll cycle for a large, geographically spread workforce, making sure everyone is paid accurately and on time
- Set up new employees and keep individual records current across the employee lifecycle
- Handle off-boarding calculations from end to end, including employment termination payments
- Work through salary changes, back pay and any related adjustments
- Track and calculate leave entitlements, including long service leave accruals and provisions
- Prepare monthly and year-end reconciliations, along with the reporting that sits behind them
- Remit statutory and third-party obligations such as PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation
- Field payroll queries from across the business and resolve them with a service-first approach
To be considered for this role, you'll bring 3 to 4 years' payroll experience, ideally with exposure to a large national payroll. A solid working knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll tax and long service leave provisions will set you up for success, along with genuine attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Just as importantly, you're a explicit communicator who can work autonomously while remaining a reliable, positive presence within a team.
